The InSite Dispatch Unit is a server that works with InSite Master Control Units (MCU) and InSite Video Recorders (IVR).
The Dispatch Unit connects 25,000 IVRs to 50 MCUs and distributes the workload between online and offline MCUs. It utilizes load-balancing technique that distributes requests from event-triggered IVRs evenly across a MCU network. If one MCU starts to get swamped, the Dispatch Unit forwards requests to another MCU with more capacity. When one MCU fails to work, another can take over in the processing activity.
- Create, edit groups of MCUs and subscribers
- Up to 50 MCUs and 25,000 IVR subscribers manageable
- Network Load Balancing: Distribute IVR requests to MCUs by Group or by least connections available
- Direct MCU to Dispatch Unit available
- View real-time MCU events and attached videos
- Check, control MCU online/offline status
- View subscriber’s address book and single-view Camera/Audio Control Panel
- Control PTZ, play videos, and two-way audio via Camera/Audio Control Panel
- Automatic connection recovery
- Keep tracks of MCU event logs and Dispatch logs
- Recycle feature: Delete old files for non-stop recording
- Search MCU events by types, MCU ID, event date, and time
- Remote playback events with video attachments
- Flag bookmarks for the highlight of important events
- Display Dispatch Units status for system service, MCU login/logout history, connection, control, and Dispatch status
- Backup event lists and video files
- Log Filter as a search engine
