Exchange Server

Microsoft Exchange Server 2003

E-Mail has become the life blood of the modern connected organization. We use it to communicate with our team members, employees, partners, vendors, and customers. Despite this fact, many organizations depend on traditional internet based e-mail options. These offer no central point of backup or control. Critical business oriented mail can be lost at any time when a user’s local system fails or is infected with a virus or Trojan; wiping out potentially mission critical information. Once e-mail has been downloaded it is stuck on the machine on which it was originally retrieved, creating islands of isolated information. Finally e-mail is only a piece of the puzzle. To truly be able to work together in a modern organization you need the ability to delegate and schedule tasks, events and resources. This ability needs to be seamless and with proper internal controls for security and privacy.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 fills all these needs…

Robust Remote Access

Microsoft Exchange ServerExchange Server 2003 was built from the ground up to support remote users better than any other solution available including previous versions of Exchange Server itself. Allowing users to be able to access their information and work just like they were at their desk from anywhere in the world was one of the core design goals for Exchange Server 2003, and it was achieved with flying colors.

Outlook Web Access has been greatly improved over previous versions, providing an interface this is nearly indistinguishable from the Outlook client itself. Users have full access to nearly every capability of Exchange and Outlook without learning a new interface. In addition users with roving notebooks or other systems that are properly provisioned can securely use their Microsoft Outlook 2003 clients with full functionality from anywhere in the world without a VPN using nothing but standard web connectivity. Bandwidth sensing features automatically sense the available bandwidth to the server and adjust the operating mode automatically to optimize the users experience on anything from a LAN connection to dial up or public wireless access.
