ugust brings Back-to-School experiences and the dog days of summer in Alabama. We hope for a quiet and uneventful hurricane season and are looking forward to an exciting football season! Our first seminar in the Solutions through Technology Seminar Series was in June, and many of the clients who attended were pleasantly surprised by the advancements in Mobility technology and how well they could be applied to improve their business’ productivity.
This month we feature the talents of InLine’s experienced Web Development department. In the Featured Product section we will show you how improving your web presence can help you meet your organization’s goals. In our Ask the Engineer section Jay Winks digs into Cookies and what they do. We place the spotlight on Trussville Vision Care and illustrate how InLine and Microsoft Small Business Server work together to keep their practice running smoothly.
We wish you all a great end to the summer, and we will see you again in September!

Web Development
Not too many years ago, a question we heard over and over was, “Does a company like mine really need a web site?” The phrase “a company like mine” could be substituted for phrases like “as small as mine”, “with products like mine”, “with customers like mine” and so on. As the years have passed this question is less frequently asked by our customers because most businesses have realized the value of establishing some sort of web presence for themselves. With recent statistics showing that nearly 70% of all U.S. citizens are Internet users, the question of whether or not to have a web site is being replaced by questions like, “How does my company best use the web to attract customers and service existing customers?”
