Focus on Elizabeth Thigpen, Customer Help Desk Agent

Elizabeth Thigpen is one of our newest agents on the InLine Help Desk team. She is responsible for answering customer calls for assistance and working with them to either solve simple problems over the phone or gather information before dispatching one of our field technicians. In addition, Elizabeth works with our internal mail servers and network infrastructure setting up mailboxes, updating passwords, creating web sites, and performing other scheduled maintenance.

Elizabeth joined our team last summer after working as a systems administrator for a HVAC distribution company. In this position she was responsible for all facets of the computer systems, from upgrades to daily maintenance and monitoring, for a 90 person organization with 6 locations. This practical experience at a company that operates much like many of our InLine customers gives her a great understanding for the needs of our customers and the challenges they have to face every day. As Elizabeth says, she spent years on the other side of the phone working to solve her problems, so it is easy for her to identify with the customer and understand what they are going through. Many customers have praised Elizabeth for her patience, cheerful attitude, and her persistence in getting problems solved.

Elizabeth studied programming and web design at Herzing and Virginia College, before deciding on a career in network administration. She is a new mother to an 8 month old baby boy, and enjoys doing graphic art on the computer and squeezing in a little bit of computer gaming when she can find the time.
