Employee Focus - Austin LaForet

Austin LaForetAustin LaForet joined InLine as our Build Technician in November 2005.  As a Build Technician, Austin specializes in identifying and solving computer hardware problems for our customers, working with our sales reps, field technicians and customers to understand the customer’s needs and create a solution as quickly as possible.

Austin’s interest in computers began at the age of 13 when he attempted to make his mother’s computer faster.  His first attempt broke the computer; however, he persevered and accomplished his mission!  From that time forward, Austin was hooked!

Austin has worked with technology professionally for 10 years in many capacities, including as the owner of a customer-oriented tech support company.  His passion for the ever-evolving technology industry and his great attitude toward resolving customers' problems is a benchmark of InLine’s approach to success. When asked about the best aspects of working at InLine, Austin cited the good support from the management team and colleagues, and the great products that we provide to our customers.

A native of central Florida, Austin attended Auburn University, where he met his wife, Laura. They settled in Birmingham in 2000. “War Eagle!” They now live in Pelham with their two children, Allison (4) and Morgan (2).  As a motorcycle enthusiast, Austin prefers to ride his Kawasaki motorcycle to work each day and shared that his favorite thing about Alabama is the “year-round motorcycling weather”.  He aspires to race at the Barber Motor Sports Track.  When not at work, Austin spends time relaxing with his family, gardening with the kids, vacationing at the beach and building their digital library using Microsoft’s Media Center.  Austin is an advocate of this product, using Media Center for cataloging the family’s home videos, music, recording their favorite TV programs and exploring all that this new application can offer.

InLine is proud to have a great asset like Austin providing build tech support to our customers! We think you will find him a great resource should you need diagnostic assistance with your technology.
